Have your say about a new creative space for Chelmsford

As you might know, Ignite Chelmsford has been working for a while on plans to develop a new creative space in the city – a place where creatives and other people from across the city can work, rest and play, collaborate, share and create.

We’re now at the point where we need your insights to make these plans a reality! This space will be for you, and people you love collaborating with, so we really want you to help Ignite get it right. There are two ways you can have your say about the space – and you can do both or either!

TAKE PART IN A REALLY SHORT SURVEY
We know that it’s a really busy time of year for people, so we’ve put together a short consultation survey which we hope everyone will have time to complete. It’s really short, and will take you about 5 minutes to answer. A super-fast way to have your say, you’ll find it HERE, and you can take part in it till 12 December.

COME ALONG TO AN INFORMAL CONSULTATION SESSION
For those of you who prefer to feed in your thoughts in person, we’ve teamed up with the Ideas Hub, Chelmsford Creative Collective and Patch on 2 informal consultation sessions where you can have your say about this new space – from where it should be and what it should offer, to what working or playing in the space should cost. As well as getting you more inside the plans, we hope the events will be a chance to catch up with friends and colleagues you’ve not seen in a while. All welcome, even if you’ve also completed the survey! The details are:

  • Thursday 2nd December, between 12.15-1.30pm, hosted by the Ideas Hub at their Art Space Pop Up (former Top Shop). Please book for this event HERE.
  • Tuesday 7th December, between 7.30-9pm, hosted by Chelmsford Creative Collective and Patch at Patch’s new space in Grays Yard. Please book for that event HERE.

PLEASE GET INVOLVED, AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS TOO!
This is important stuff. This is a really exciting project that could change the way that many of us in Chelmsford work, rest and play over the coming years. We want as many people as possible – from across and beyond Chelmsford’s creative community – to have a say about the space, so please do come to an event and/or take part in the survey.

Oh, and if you could spread the word to any friends or colleagues you think would be interested, and encourage them to get involved, that would be great too!
