Creative Careers Spotlight – Chelmsford Theatre

As you may know we are busy working behind the scenes on developing a new outreach department, ensuring our community can engage in a wide variety of creative activities.

One of our first goals is to create a ‘creative arts careers and advice guide’ for local young people. This free resources will equip young people, as well as supporting teachers, in building knowledge of how to get your foot in the door in the arts world.

As part of the guide, we want to hear from local creatives to feature in our ‘careers spotlight’ section. We are looking for creatives to either film a short video of themselves answering the following three questions:

1) Who you are, what do you do?

2) How did you get into your job role?

3) What is your top bit of advice to a young person who wants to get their foot in the door in the creative industries.

Written responses are also welcome too.

We want to inspire our local young people to pursue careers in the creative industries by providing them with inspiring stories of local people who have done just that.

To support our next generation of creatives and submit your video or written response, please email me (Events & Outreach Manager at Chlemsford Theatre) on rachel.triggs@chelmsford.gov.uk

Thank you
