Crossroad Pictures is a independent film production company that specialises in character-driven genre films that ask topical and on-trend questions about the world around us.

Our films are specifically produced to not be the usual ‘schlocky’ films that are often prevalent in this sector, but still contain enough of the much-loved tropes to please even the most die-hard genre fan.

We also run the Black Sunday Film Festival which we have just moved from London to Chelmsford, with a 3-day film festival planned for January 2024.  Being Chelmsford residents already, we already know how supportive and passionate local indie film fans are, and we cannot wait to be able to bring them a series of indie horror, sci-fi and fantasy-inspired events that they’ll be proud of!

Leading up to the January festival, we’re also planning to host a series of individual film screenings, networking events and workshops, in order to help anyone with an interest in this sector get involved and collaborate with other like-minded people — no matter their current experience level.

In short, we want to help make Chelmsford a hotbed of supportive and community-inspired storytelling, and we cannot wait to meet everyone!
