I am a Liberal Democrat member of Chelmsford City Council, Deputy for Community Engagement and I have lived in Chelmsford for twenty years.

I started my working life in marketing and advertising before switching to teaching. I also volunteer in a local church and run a book club. I enjoy creative writing and I have been involved with Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month), and the Nano Essex writers’ group for over ten years .

In my leisure time I enjoy walking, swimming and going to the theatre. I’m fluent in French and Italian and I’m currently learning German.

I’m delighted to be part of the Ignite Partnership because I believe that Art and creativity play an important role in building communities.
