Although now retired I have a long history of volunteering and working for my community. I am Chair of the Ignite Chelmsford Cultural Partnership and a trustee of Chelmsford CVS and Keene Homes a local almshouse.
I have been a member of Chelmsford Theatre Workshop for 30 years, a community owned theatre. It is totally run by volunteers and I have done everything from spear carrier, to chairperson and Shakespeare director.
My career was in housing, starting with managing hostels for young homeless people and ultimately operations director of CHP, responsible for management of 6,000 homes for rent in Chelmsford .
I spend my time, cycling, acting, latest was in It’s a Wonderful life, volunteering , travelling, looking after grandchildren and generally having fun.
I love Chelmsford, its an wonderful city, I want to make a contribution to celebrating and growing its cultural life , involving all our residents and taking pride in our achievements
