I joined Chelmsford’s Cultural Education Partnership as programme manager in March 2022. My background stems from community arts and I spent the last 10 years teaching secondary art and design as well as leading cultural arts in schools. I am drawn to the prospect of empowering children and young people to be leaders of positive change through arts and cultural education.
Apart from my role in the LCEP, I am co-director and lead the secondary art teachers’ network for Art Matters London CIC. As an advocate for art and creative education this role is very close to my heart. At the end of every academic year, we hold one of the UK’s largest student art exhibitions at the University of East London. My role in Chelmsford’s LCEP means I can help to embed strong innovative collaborations that will build sustainable opportunities in the cultural education partnership.
