Having been appointed Museums Manager at Chelmsford Museum permanently in April 2022; it is already clear to me that we have an amazingly diverse range of creatives within Chelmsford who have an appetite to showcase the City as a cultural hub for Essex and beyond.

We want to work in collaboration with Chelmsford communities, to share their stories and ensure the Museum becomes a relevant, safe and accessible venue for all. We also want to extend the Museum’s boundaries and undertake outreach projects to engage with those that might not see the Museum as a place for them.

I feel that this is an exciting time, not only for the Museum, but for Chelmsford as a whole; and a fantastic opportunity for us to come together collaboratively and increase the cultural ambition of the City.
