Vignesh Vyas is an award winning filmmaker based in Essex, who has been directing films since 2011. His film ‘Swaraj’ played at the Raindance Film Festival (London) and at the Human Rights Film Festival (Barcelona) in 2015. Following this, he had his films ‘The Long Walk’ starring Michelle Collins (Eastenders) and Daniel Casey (Midsomer Murders) which won the Audience Choice Award at the Soho London Independent Film Festival in January 2024. Vignesh also had his short film Njanum (Me too…) winning awards at the Paris and Milan Film Festival in 2024.

Vignesh is also a Brand Storyteller – helping individuals, charities, and various businesses tell their story in a cinematic way, particularly focusing on what makes them unique – and why they do what they do. These videos are often used for award submissions, grant submissions and for social media channels.

Apart from being a filmmaker, Vignesh is a qualified Occupational Therapist specialising in mental health and is actively researching in the field of therapeutic filmmaking. Vignesh has presented his research at various international conferences. and he recently won the President’s Award from the Association of Medical Humanities (Ireland) for his research on therapeutic filmmaking.
