It was a full house on Wednesday at the second of the Essex 2020 Chelmsford, Maldon, Brentwood and Basildon Hub’s Open Collaboration Events.
It was great to see some new faces as well as longer term supporters, all gathered to hear and support six pitches around the day’s theme “Skills Development and New Pathways in STEAM”, following the format of the first of these events in September.
Full details, including contacts and social media, on each of the projects shared, are below. Does something spark your interest? Why not get in touch with the project lead to find out more, support with their three asks or get involved in another way?
While these projects are the frontrunners, the aim is that Essex 2020 will inspire people to begin and grow projects rather than complete them during the year. At any point, even if you have a seed of an idea that celebrates the themes of Science and Creativity, we’d encourage you to put them forward and become part of the supportive community in the Chelmsford Hub. You can also promote Essex 2020 by learning more and spreading the word – sharing the link to details on the Ignite Chelmsford dedicated page and using the hashtag #essex2020
While no more of the Open Collaboration events are currently scheduled, we’re looking to continue them over the next 12 months and beyond. Anyone signed up to the mailing list will receive invitations and updates so if you’re interested, make sure you sign up to receive news. For any Hub Members, our regular “3rd Thursday” Meetings will continue as before. If you are interested in organising an activity yourself or would like more information visit the Ignite Chelmsford dedicated Essex 2020 page.
