Our events are hosted in the city as well as online. Our relaxed monthly socials and regular creative events are a great way to meet others and share ideas. Our online, monthly Hub events are the ideal platform to promote what you are doing and call out for support and collaboration.
If you are holding an event that fits our Ignite mission, or is something you feel our Members could benefit from, please use the Add your Event button to submit it for approval.
We recommend that events that are public or community facing are submitted to Chelmsford For You, where you will benefit from their tourism and retail business expertise.
The act of sharing a story is powerful. It provides shared experiences, personal connection, and moments of open reflection. From reading a book with a child to developing a shared narrative for a community, stories and the words within them have the potential to bring people together and provide a sense of unity.
In this month’s Ignite we will be hearing about different projects exploring access to heritage and heritage spaces. Finding ways to tell new stories, celebrate forgotten individuals and develop events and activities that feel relevant and engaging to a wide audience.

At Ignite we are great believers in the power of art to bring people together and develop a sense of identity and community. In this meet-up we hear from two speakers developing cutting-edge projects which demonstrate the power of this approach with examples ranging from dance to film and inter-generational activism.
Hear from a range of expert grant funders and writers who have experience of understanding compelling grant applications that have been successfully funded. The panel includes representatives from National Lottery Heritage Fund, Essex Community Foundation, National Lottery Community Fund, Stow Maries Trust and freelance bid writers and supporters.
