Open Call: Essex Podcast Festival – Podcast Experience open call (closed)

Deadline for submitting interest is Friday 30th August.

The Essex Podcast Festival is a brand new multi venue event taking place in Chelmsford city centre on 28th & 29th September 2024. Brought to you by Chelmsford For You.

The festival’s mission is to establish Essex as one of the leading podcasting communities in the UK by inspiring a new generation of locally produced podcasts.

We’re creating the perfect space for podcast enthusiasts to develop new skills, meet like-minded people, and be inspired to either start their own podcast or take their
current show to the next level.

On Saturday 28th September the festival will host a Podcast Experience workshop at Chelmsford’s premier recording venue, Studio 808. This is aimed at young people/ youth groups and local podcasters who haven’t started a podcast yet.

Each group/ person will receive a ‘brief’ (prior to date) to create a 30min podcast on a topic of their choice. On the day they will be guided through the recording process and receive professional advice on how to enhance their show. Each podcast will be video recorded and then edited, with a downloadable link sent to the podcasters after the event.

The workshops are free to attend but will require confirmation of time slot prior to the date.

If you or your group are interested in booking a slot on the workshop please contact the Chelmsford For You team via: ku.oc.uoyrofdrofsmlehc@ofni

Deadline for submitting interest is Friday 30th August.
